“Intelligent, ambitious, athletic, and highly motivated,” Eleanor Beryl Ratmeyer is the
Filipino-American Association of Greater Atlanta’s 2023 Presidential Scholar.
Born in Georgia, Nora, as she is known to everyone, is the daughter of Steve and Lyra
Ratmeyer.
A consistent all “A” Honor Roll student since 2020 at Dutchtown High School, she has a
weighted GPA score of 4.55 and ranked #1 of 435 in her graduating class. Aside from

involvement. She is a member and an officer of the Math Team and the Future Farmers
of America. Excelling academically and also in leadership, she is an outstanding student
athlete. Nora is a member of Tara Tarpons Swim Association and her school’s swim
team currently holds the school and county record for five girls individual events
As Nora is partly Filipino, she has an established relationship with Fil-Am and with the
Fil-Am community. She is a former Miss Little Fil-Am and has been promoting our
culture performing Tinikling in several local and asian events. It is commendable for her
to be active in her Filipino heritage.
Although she was accepted at both University of Georgia and Georgia Institute of
Technology, but with her athletic ability and her passion for swimming, she chose to
attend Davidson College in Davidson, NC, a division 1 school where swimming is
competitive. She plans to major in Political Science.
Nora is an all around Filipino American, excelling in all her endeavors and without doubt
will ultimately fulfill her goals.
Congratulations for a job well done, Nora!
