Recap: New Years Eve Ball
And just like that, Fil-Am Association of Greater Atlanta welcomed 2025 surrounded by friends, family and loved ones at the New Years Eve Ball at the Hilton the Atlanta Marriott Northwest at Galleria. We received an overwhelming response on ticket sales to the New Years Eve Ball that we ultimately sold out. Thank you to everyone who joined and counted down the seconds with us leading to midnight.
If you missed it, here’s a recap of the highlights from the night.
The event, hosted by Martin Agoncillo and Jessica Coleman, marked over 50 years of Fil-Am of Greater Atlanta history. During the celebration, we honored 24 past Fil-Am Presidents, heard from Ely Abellera, the organization’s first President, expressed gratitude to the Board for their outstanding 2024 programming, and passed leadership to Juneli Zabala, the youngest Fil-Am President and the rest of the incoming 2025 Board.
During the dinner event, accompanied by a selection of classic and contemporary music from DJ Dice, attendees were treated to dance performances by past and current Fil-Am Board members. The Rigodon de Honor was executed flawlessly, showcasing the performers’ dedication over numerous rehearsals. Further, the younger generation marked Fil-Am’s 50th anniversary with an array of dances, ranging from breakdancing to the macarena, and popular routines like Gangnam Style and the TikTok dance for Apt. These performances energized the crowd and prepared everyone for hours on the dance floor.
The Fil-Am New Year's Eve Ball is made possible by the support and dedication of our members. Let's collectively thank the following individuals:
Saranai Group, especially Randy Cabanog
Marites Fernandez Pellicer (The NYE program was flawless!)
Pauline Pellicer Hoylman for the beautifully designed program and Erica Pellicer for the tickets
Nenette Guerrero and the rest of the dancers for your participation in endless dance practices
And lastly, thank you to the 2024 Fil-Am Board for an exceptional job well done
